🌞💦 Beat the Heat: Tips to Protect Your Vehicle in Hot Weather 💦🌞

Summer may not have been the best but the temperature is rising! While we all know how to protect ourselves from the heat, it’s equally important to look after our vehicles during these hot months. These are the things we look out for with our vans and you should consider them for your own vehicles.

1. Coolant System Maintenance – Check and maintain the coolant system to prevent your engine from overheating. Make sure the level is correct under the bonnet.
2. Tire Pressure – Hot weather can increase the pressure in your tires. Make sure to check the tire pressure regularly and adjust it according to your vehicle’s manual. This of course applies when the temperature drops. This can have an effect of fuel economy and safety.
3. Battery Care – High temperatures can be tough on your car battery. Try to park in the shade and keep an eye on the battery’s condition.
4. Fluid Levels – Keep an eye on the levels of essential fluids such as engine oil, transmission fluid, and brake fluid. Top them up as necessary.
5. Interior Care – Protect your car’s interior by parking in the shade whenever possible and using a sunshade to prevent the dashboard and seats from fading and cracking. Some electronic items can fail in the heat.
6. AC System – Ensure your vehicle’s AC system is functioning well to keep you cool and comfortable during drives.
7. Emergency Kit – Always have a summer emergency kit in your car, including water, a first-aid kit, and some non-perishable snacks.
Remember, a well-maintained vehicle is a happy vehicle. Take the time to give your car the TLC it needs to keep you safe and comfortable all summer long.
Happy Driving! 🚗💨
